Hope Within Hopelessness – Ps. 27

This Psalm is the summit of purposeful living. In it David will first give himself to a full contemplation of who his Yahweh is. Once fully appreciative of God’s person, David will engage in a conversation with Him. The conversation will center on how David wishes to live with a single-hearted-devotion, unaltered by any crisis life can deliver. The song ends exalting the counsel God delivers and David’s commitment to implementing it into his person.
