Lost and Found (part 2)
In this lesson we conclude our look at Luke 15 where by parable Jesus speaks of three different lost things. He is explaining His reason for associating with sinners. Some people, like sheep have wandered away and in their “lostness” don’t know how to come back. As Shepherd I will seek to find them. Others like a coin get lost in darkness and dirt of the world. They stand in need of the illumination of God and cleansed. I am the one who will give diligence and find them. While others, like the prodigal, are lost because they want to be lost. I will wait for them to “come to their senses.” “I eat with sinners because they are in need of being found and accepted.
