God Answers Habakkuk

Habakkuk is feeling like God is inactive and silent within the troubling events of his time. He goes right to the source and lays his logic before God.

We established in our last study that humans often find God’s ways mysterious and often misunderstand them. In this lesson we see God’s response revealing three significant principles:

  1. All history is under the control of God
  2. All elements of history are shaped by God’s specific plan
  3. Events of history are smaller than the content and purposes of the divine kingdom

These answers play a vital role in our quest to address our own feelings of God’s silence.
