Beyond Hatred – Managing Your Mouth
Romans 12:14 says, “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” This sentence establishes one of the most significant of God’s truths for getting beyond hatred.
We will examine what it means to “curse” as well as what it means to “bless.” God’s call to bless when persecuted is one of the most challenging issues in addressing our annoyance>hatred continuum.
This lesson has a “Digging Deeper” application page to use for personal examination and introspection (link below). You are invited to use it to help guide you onto a path where God’s principles can become a means of growing beyond hatred. While this is a very personal exercise you may wish to discuss some of your processing with a spiritual confidant, thus gaining some mutual insight from each other. May God help all His children to be serious about the task of walking beyond our fleshly annoyances and hatreds.
