Lead Us Not Into Temptation

In this lesson we look at a unique phrase contained in Jesus’ model prayer. Jesus taught that His followers should pray, “lead us not into temptation.”

We unpack some of the meaning of that phrase by examining these main points: 1) God’s relationship to evil, 2) God as one’s leader, and 3) Asking God to not lead into temptation.

Since surrender to temptation is a leading trigger to feelings of hopelessness, seeking a walk free from temptation in a means of rebuilding hope. It is God who can “lead” onto a PATH free from temptation’s allure.

We wrap up by look at three lessons we should learn from the phrase, “lead us not into temptation.”
