Shut Out Prayers

Would the expression, “He shuts out my prayers,” represent how you at times feel God responds to your heartfelt requests?   A lament from the book of Lamentations actually uses this exact expression, “Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayers” (Lam. 3:8).

In this study we address some facts about such disappointments.  Does Scripture indicate that everything asked for in faith we will receive?  Did Jesus teach that if a request is not received that a lack of faith is the only answer?  Many issues have clouded our understanding of asking and receiving.  In this lesson we attempt get beyond the clouds and see some new realities in the nature of prayer.
