The Boundary of the Church (2)

Far too often believers in Jesus feel comfortable minimalizing their connection with His church.  While a strong focus on Jesus may come naturally with the Christian commitment,  a similar connection with Jesus’ kingdom people is not nearly as natural.   In this lesson we continue our look at some ancient boundary markers by looking at a few truths set concerning Jesus’ church.

Specifically, we will focus upon the importance of the church because it is the place of Christ’s power.  The church is the place where:

  1. Jesus abides.
  2. Jesus identifies the church as a place His power works.
  3. Jesus continues to give, appoint and grow those in His church.
  4. Jesus available power to the church, is more than the church will ever use.
  5. Jesus has created unity of His followers as the telling testimony of His power.
