The Power of the Resurrection

After Paul outlined his willingness to count all his achievements and everything else as loss, he then begins to discuss what he longs to gain.  We saw last time that he begins that list by saying he wants to “know Christ.”  His wish is to obtain such an understanding of the person of Christ that he constructs a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus.

In this lesson we will find that Paul also hopes to gain the ability to live within the “power of his resurrection.”  In exploring Paul’s desired objective we will look at two major points:

  1. what makes the resurrection of Jesus unique and
  2. what hindrances keep us from living within the power of Jesus resurrection.
