Slaves and Saints

We begin our textual examination of Philippians by looking at two very significant words in Paul’s salutation…

• Slaves
• Saints

First we will look at what it means for Paul to reference he and Timothy as slaves of Christ Jesus.  What application does this hold for us?  In what ways are Christians to be enslaved to their Savior.

Secondly, we examine the meaning of being a “saint.”  Paul addresses saints at Philippi.  Who is a saint?  How is sainthood achieved and what are saints responsible to do?
