What Would Jesus Teach – in Thyatira

We are finding some answers to our theme question, “What Would Jesus Teach,” within the seven letters Jesus had John address to seven Asian churches.

Thus far those letters have given some very modern lessons:

• Rekindle your first spiritual love
• Stay committed even within the scope of increase persecution
• Do not put yourself in a position of spiritual compromise

In looking at the message to the church at Thyatira we will discover the dangers of attempting to intertwine the standards of  God’s moral teaching with those of an immoral world.   Jesus will identify such spiritual duplicity as being deadly.
