What Would Jesus Teach – At Smyrna (part 2)

We discovered last time that Jesus is aware that at Smyrna the Christians suffer from:

• Affliction – the pressing persecution was continuous and extreme like that of an olive press.
• Poverty – the Greek word used means absolute destitution
• Slanderous speech – lies were being spoken about this body of believers

We continue to look at how Jesus challenges this church to be prepared for additional troubles yet to come.
