What Would Jesus Teach – Words (part 2)

Jesus made it very plain,  “by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned” (Mt. 12:37).

Words are powerful because they are the window of the heart.  A heart guarded by and practicing the love of God sets up perimeters which develop the heart and thus govern the mouth.

Slander is one means by which the wickedness of the heart travels unchecked into mouthed words.  Past lessons have looked at what slander is and what motivates it.  In this lesson we focus on what slander accomplishes.
