What Would Jesus Teach – Hope
The events of John chapter thirteen produce a great disturbance among the disciples. They stand bewildered, feeling disturbed about the present and hopeless about the future. Jesus has outlined some very disruptive realities:
- He is leaving. They will look for him and not find him and where he is going they cannot go.
- Someone in the group is a traitor.
- The one with Kingdom keys will deny even knowing Jesus before daybreak.
- His own heart is deeply troubled.
Within the context of all this hopelessness, Jesus will identify five reasons his followers can rise above all this turmoil and live in hope. In this lesson we look at the first hope builder – Jesus has prepared a place!
